Ballad of Kelland the Thief

Now listen to a tale of a hero so bold,
A story of a thief, with a heart of gold.
What's that, you say? You're in disbelief?
Well then, hear the story of Kelland the Thief!

The life of a thief was all he'd known,
For nothing else he'd ever been shown.
He accepted his role in society,
And never asked what else he could be.

Until that fateful day, he did spot,
An Elephante who was tired and hot.
He was carrying his hard-earned cash,
And down a darkened road, he did dash.

When suddenly, from out of the dark,
An Aisha appeared to make his mark,
He grabbed the Elephante's treasured purse,
And left him feeling so much worse!

As Kelland watched this scene unfold,
Something in his heart took hold.
This strange sensation, deep inside,
Was sympathy, and it would not hide.

Later that night, in the thieves' hideout,
He saw that same Aisha lounge about.
Feeling sick at the sight of that Aisha's face,
Kelland stole the purse back, without a trace.

Soon, the Techo was outside a door,
He quietly dropped the purse on the floor.
Then he knocked and quickly leapt up to the roof,
Not wanting to leave any more proof.

A head slowly peeked out from the door,
It was the same Elephante from before.
He picked up his purse, and shouted with glee.
It was such a heartwarming sight to see.

Kelland felt something he hadn't before,
He had found true joy in helping the poor.
He began to help others, protect them from crime,
He felt it was a better use of his time.

Soon his efforts swept across the land.
Kelland found himself in high demand.
Now a thief that uses his skills to support,
Helps assist others in Altador's Court.

The Altador Cup’s Biggest Fan

When the Altador Cup comes around each year
Get on your feet, jump, cheer, and scream!
The Techo Fanatic is leading the crowds
To get as hyped as they can for their favourite team

No one loves the Cup more than him
He waits every year for his moment to shine
He’ll be by your side as you cheer for your faves
And he’ll comfort you when a bad score makes you whine

It’s not easy to keep up with this fan
His enthusiasm seems to have no bounds
And when your team is exhausted from Yooyuball
He’ll beg them to squeeze in just a few more rounds

But as the summer comes to its end
And the Altador Cup begins to wrap itself up
You’ll see the Techo Fanatic begging for more
He never likes seeing the end of the Cup

But just know as soon as the festivities are over
He’s already making plans for next year of course
Warming up and practicing to shout all day long
So he never takes breaks or lets his voice get hoarse

Serving and protecting Altador 
By giving back to the deserving poor

Hiding in the shadows when the time was right 
Or out as a beggar, Kell, in the light
He saw inequity around the city
And helped those in need, without pity

Cunning and swift he took only excess 
And when asked of his deeds he did confess
It allowed him to take his Council place
Now there’s a statue that bears his face

Renowned through Altador for his contribution 
It takes all sorts to find a solution
When there was need for his skills he rose 
Now he is forever in the Hall of Heroes

A Tale of Two Brothers

Two Techo brothers. 
Both alike in form and functions. 
But to each other
There’s more detours than junctions. 

See, Franchisco, the red one,
Fran’s a proper plucky pirate, 
Preferring peppers and paprika 
And other spicy foods that make his brother irate. 

But Federismo, the green one,
Fed’s a frank, ferocious fencer,
Favouring foods like French Flies, Fish Fingers
And other gross foods that make his brother tenser. 

Both Techo brothers hold a sword,
But where Fran’s is slightly thinner,
His brother Fed’s is much more broad.
Though they rarely get them out at dinner.

Rarely, not never.
See, while the brothers may be kin,
And despite the fact they’re clever,
During Food Club fights, they’re all-in.  

Two Techo twins,
Seem alike in shape and name.
But when only one can win,
There's more that's different than the same.

Ballerina Techo

Dancing around to music in sync.
She kicks her leg up to the stars,
With elegance & grace she stands at the barre.

The Ballerina Techo is soft & sweet,
Watch her point her delicate feet.
She twirls and turns across the floor,
A ballerina indeed, part of the corps.

The Ballerina Techo stands straight & tall,
She gives a great leap & never falls,
She has her bun in a twisted knot,
& her tights are ready to support her squat.

The Ballerina Techo has glitter on her eyes,
She’s light as a feather, she floats to the skies.
Her tutu is sharp and her leotard sleek, 
Ballet slippers are wrapped, she looks so chic.

The Ballerina Techo is so chic & small,
She’s a dancer & is the prettiest of them all. 
She’s an athlete with a willowy flair.
A Techo be considered  with the best of care.

The "Wizard" of Meridell

He's got tricks galore,

The "Wizard" of Meridell,
"Wizard" Windelle is his name,
Their centre forward,
Their team captain!

He stands tall and proud,
A Techo noble to the end,
And to his teammates,
A cool, loyal friend.

And though Team Meridell
Has yet to take the Cup,
Rest assured "Wizard" Windelle
Continues to climb to the top!

The Techo of the Sea

The mightiest wave is so seldom seen
Comprising the smallest of parts. 
Instead, as it forms noble crest of sea-green,
It shall strike fear and awe into hearts. 

Great strength from below is united with rain,
A host of the droplets below 
Are topped off with foam, ever white and arcane--
Such force it creates, who can find? 

Cohesion is found in Maraqua as well,
For the team of the cup largely owes
Their rank to its players, who rise like a swell,
Including the guard, Barit Jowes. 

With defence of a buckler of iron, he blocks, 
And may shoot the occasional goal. 
The line behind Elon, he faithfully locks,
For without him, the team is not whole. 

In spite of this, Barit's blurb reads, "hardly scores,
And experienced not, that is he."
But with almost two decades of play from the shores,
They'll all be proved wrong. They'll all see.

Yes, I imagine it's quite a challenge

And by the end of the day
His shoulders probably have quite the droop.

But the Techo Master is professional,
And he's always ready for a new trainee -
So if you want more BD stats, 
Well - you know the place to be!

So here's to our fave battle master,
For each and every class they host;

Lament of a Grey Techo

This is the lot of a Grey Techo
Skinned knees and a tail all limp
Shoulders weighed down by all the woes
Of a life that has been crimped

Look farther than the surface
There's more than meets the eye
Each one of us is different
You can see it if you try

Not all Greys are sad, you know
We feel other emotions too
Perhaps we don't express it well
But the burden is half on you

Take me, as an example
The expression on my face
Is clearly leaning toward sheepish
With a bit of shame as a base

To be honest, what I was doing
I knew better, as Mom would say
And now I've earned a scolding
Because that is her way

But really I already paid for it
The scolding is just on top
You see, I hurt my tail just now
Because I just wouldn't stop

And I know it was my own fault
I could've controlled myself if I tried
But I was having too much fun
And now all I can do is sigh

Perhaps we ARE all sad, a bit
What is it about being Grey
Is it a self-fulfilling prophecy
That makes our lives this way?

A Visible Techo

Since the day that I'd arrived
On Mystery Island's shore,
I wished to be Invisible
So I could be ignored.

I was the only Techo enrolled
In the Island School
Who hadn't lived there all my life,
And I felt like a fool.

I didn't know the Island's customs 
Or understand the accent,
And even friendly small talk would
Cause my insides to lament.

So I instead would hide myself
Within my Faerie wings,
And I hoped that I would one day be
Invisible to everything.

I would be as small as I could,
As though I'd used a "Downsize!"
And I never would extend my wings
To take to unclear skies.

But as I've grown and seen the world
Full of suffering,
I look to other Pets and see
Their hopeless quivering.

I now know that I must instead
Use my voice and power
To aid those who've been turned to Grey
In this war most dour.

Although I'm not sure if I can,
I'll grit my teeth, and try;
I'll overcome my trembling,
Unfurl my wings, and fly.
