An April Fool's Warning

Within Skarl’s dungeon, cold and dank,
my mind has been growing blank;
Overcome with feelings, forlorn,
I regret that joke, that April Fools prank.

I thought I would bring the king delight,
but my joke was met with spite;
I suffer now a Skeith King’s scorn,
in these halls of endless night.

Behind these iron bars and heavy gates,
my sorrowful song reverberates;
I’m but a Scorchio whose world has torn
in two pieces. It must be my fate.

Thrown into the depths of his keep,
chained in place I weep and sleep;
In Skarl’s side, I was but a thorn,
the cost of pranks is not cheap.

So I’ll be here counting the days,
forced to rethink my ways,
begging for a brighter morn;
If I could, that prank I would erase.

But I’m still a Scorchio who has sworn,
to survive this trial for I was born,
under the glorious name, Doirn;
Heed my words, they’re meant to warn.

April Fool's Day Drag

I feel the mischief in the air.
Be gentle with your humour.
I don't like when people scare.

Other tricks I do not like,
Are the ones you cannot see,
Like cream cheese instead of toothpaste,
Or a salted cup of tea!

And I also find annoying,

I hope that's peanut butter,
On the bottom of your shoe!

Refrain yourself from judging,
Or I may ask you to leave 
I tend to fall for every joke.
I can be a little bit naive.

Especially with a clever rhyming trick
A sonnet, you’re on it
I’d rather go vomit
Then have to read 14 lines of some shtick

Don’t get me started on haikus
They really just give me the blues
Specific syllables
Are the principles
They just make me want to snooze

Please avoid acrostics all the time
Only writing them would be a crime
Even just one
That is no fun
Simply just write other kinds

What even is an ode?
I feel like it’s written in code
A tribute to thee
Sounds boring to me
My head is about to explode

Does poetry even have any rules?
Is this what they teach you in schools
Is this a limerick
Or is this a trick?
It is! I love poetry! April Fools!

A Neopian History of April Fool's Day

What trickery lies ahead this year?
Welcoming both elation and fear,
April Fool's Day, the infamous date
Brings news all Neopians eagerly await!

One year, false Pets fooled us all
50 of them- cute, strange, short and tall
Some swam, some slithered, and others flew
Though that day brought forth our beloved Gnorbu!

Neovision+ promised the best of entertainment
The prank brought about genuine excitement
Such a shame Spookynatural doesn't truly exist,
With 41 seasons of plot turns and twists!

The Befriending Dome was not a bad thought,
Kindness, empathy, and social skills all were taught,
New friends were made across the land,
And the classic Battledome was scheduled to be banned!

One year, the Shop Wizard couldn't figure anything out
"We can't search at all!" Neopians would shout,
Tyrannians ran the Trading Post and Auctions filled with dung,
To this day the horrors of that year are still sung!

And let's not forget the awful Scourgies outbreak,
Which caused many Pets to quiver and shake,
Hot soup and ice packs were flung all around,
Until all Pets were cured safe and sound!

Whatever this day of April may bring,
Know that TNT is really joking
(Hopefully), and that Nick Neopia isn't actually real,
So don't fall for any ridiculous spiel!

April Fool's Day Grumps!

Today is a day full of laughter and jokes, 
But sometimes this day seems to upset some folks. 
They don’t like being pranked or joked about,
Sometimes it makes them even pout! 

Do not tell them their shirt is green when teal. 
Do not tell them that you want to make a deal! 
Then go back on your word and yell the phrase,
Loosen up! It is April Fool’s Day! 

Some do not like the can that pops out confetti, 
Especially if they were not ready! 
But we laugh and we play and with a smile we say,
SURPRISE! It is April Fool’s Day! 

Do not give them an ice cream full of worms, 
That will really make them squirm. 
They do not enjoy being jumped out at,
You may even get chased by a wooden bat! 

I know this day is all in good fun,
Even if sometimes you get lots of exercise from having to run.
But let us just take it for the day that it is,
A fun filled, laughter day to brighten the spirits! 

So, whether you enjoy being pranked and joked,
Let us remember those who always spoke,
Continue the jester but all in good fun,

Jesters of Neopia

Giggling over jiggling!

Jelly World, today you definitely exist,
As a totally real world and not a trick,
So let me visit your shining shores
And shop in all of your sugary stores!

With my Edible Guide to Jelly World in hand,
I will walk across the translucent sand...
... Hmm, would there be sand? I'm not sure:
Better consult my Jelly World Travel Brochure!

Then, I'll make my way into the town,
Find an Orange Jelly Chair and sit down,
And once I've got my energy back,
I'll see if I can get some snacks!

The entire land could be a meal,
but to eat property is to steal,
So instead of being rude,
I'll go shop at Jelly Food!

Buy myself a Raspberry Jelly Pop,
but make a mess trying to unscrew the top
Raspberry Jelly, everywhere:
Use my Jelly Comb to get it out of my hair.

Now the comb's broken, and I'm blue,
(Well, red and pink from the Jelly residue),
I'm more than ready to go back home,
Where instead of Jelly, benches are made of stone.

But to this jelly bench I unwillingly cling, 
Ugh, this is extremely embarrassing!

... or at least is would be, 
If this land were a reality!

At the Trading Post,
You were met by an oaf,
And the Auction House smelled far from daisies.

There once was a Doctor named Death,
Who considered it best if he left.
The pound was closed down,
As he said with a frown:

There once was a Neo-theme park,

There once was a “cool guy” named Nick,

There once was a new streaming service.
The trailers, they just scratched the surface.
It was sadly let go,
Before its first show,
As Lawyerbot was getting nervous.

Nick Neopia was back with some “thoughts”,
Theories and wild reports.
He was quite unhinged,
Spent too long at the fringe.
