Let's have a party
To celebrate the Kougra way
Let's reunite all the Kougras
After all, it's their day

There's Royal Girl and Royal Boy
But maybe the 8-Bit is the one you'll enjoy.
The Glowing Kougra looks so bright
But the Candy one it's a wonderful sight.

The Halloween Kougra might look like a bit scary
But it's just as popular as the Faerie.
You can see the Custard, Pirate, or Split
They're the coolest, you have to admit it.

The Maraquan Kougra is awesome too
And their favourite Petpet is the Slugawoo.
The Toy Kougra looks very fun.
And the Desert one likes to walk in the sun.

With the Island Kougra everyone wants to play
Just as the Jelly, the Marble, and the Clay.
And the Robot Kougra is all mechanical
To play with them you have to read their manual.

The Plushie Kougra is the most beautiful Pet
Just as cute as the Baby and the Sketch.
The Valentine Kougra is lovely and sweet
And the Chocolate one looks like a treat.

Every colour has its magic
And all the Kougras will thrive
But nothing compares to the joy
Of having a Kougra in your life!

Meeting Jake the Explorer

There seems to be some expectations set
About me because I’m a Kougra
Be strong, be brave, be smart, and yet
I am none of those things

But oh! I wish I could be like
My hero Jake the Explorer
He’s strong, brave, and smart, unlike
A silly little Kougra like me

I like to stay inside my home
And read about the world outside
I don’t like to hike and roam
But sometimes I’d like to try

One day, I decided to push myself
“I will go outside and walk!”
And to my surprise, who do I see
But Jake the Explorer! On MY block!

I must have made a surprised noise
As I quickly looked away
Jake the Explorer walked over to me
“What a pleasure to meet you on this fine day!”

I stared up at him in disbelief and doubt
My hero! I could not contain my glee
Before I could stop the words from spilling out
“I want to be like you, a better version of me!”

“Let me stop you right there, son,
You are the best version of you
Don’t look around at anyone else 
And change what you like to do

The only way I could become this
The ‘Hero Jake the Explorer’
Was to be myself and follow my heart
I only had myself in the mirror.”

I must have looked confused and sad
He said “I want you to follow my lead
No, not exploring and hiking and running around
But be the best self you can be!”

“Thank you, sir, that really means a lot
I will grow up to be just like that!”
We parted ways, a new spring in my step
My whole life changed its format

That day meeting Jake the Explorer
He showed me I can be me
I am so proud that he has always been my hero
And I can be too for the world to see!

What it Means to Guard Faerieland

Some may think we're snobs
But we just have an important job
Guarding Queen Fyora and the Hidden Tower
We'll make any intruders cower!

Day to day there isn't much
but we'll train so we don't lose our touch
After all, it's only us Kougras here
each equipped with a trusty spear

Neopians come far and wide
Just to purchase one item inside
If you try to sneak in for more
We'll make sure you won't even make it to the door!

We know something powerful is coming
Occasionally there's this strange low drumming
We do our best to conduct a thorough screen
Before anyone can approach our lovely queen!

Though Queen Fyora can certainly manage on her own
There's no reason why she has to be alone!
We are her loyal supporters in any event
That's all we need to be content

We stay diligently at our post everyday
because everyone will be safer this way
So please pay some respect to any guard
We actually work really hard!

This Rainbow we keep!

Jake the Adventurous Kougra

My name is Jake, I am an explorer here,
Discovering hidden fruits is my career,
Did you know they named a cereal after me?
It's fruity, and sweet to the perfect degree!

Gadgadsbogen Festival is my favourite day,
That's why I am particular in this way,
Participating by collecting fruits from trees,
Everyone eating deliciously, I guarantee!

I'm Jake, a Blue Kougra, I love to explore,
Exploring many islands, and yet I want more,
There is a golden idol I desire to possess,
But the arduous path have derailed my success.

As an adventurous Kougra around these parts,
I come close to many dangers when I embark,
Different career? Can't myself doing another! 
It's all worth it for the smiles of others.

Rorru the Kougra Shows Off Her Haikus

Story of Linae Kougra

Linae the Kougra was part of Cyodrake’s Gaze plot,
But since then, she has been forgot.
She spends her time sitting and playing Kou-Jong
Think you can beat her? You would be wrong. 

She likes to help wherever she is needed,
But in Kou-Jong she is anything but defeated.
She likes to surf high in the mountains,
Riding down the waves of the fountains.

She sits and eats Anchovy Casseroles though they don’t agree,
And ends up with a tummy ache to the third degree. 
She tends to have rotten luck,
Like surfing and getting stuck in the muck.

After so many years of serving on the Cyodrake’s Gaze, 
She knows the routes like the answers to a maze. 
If you think you can beat her, give it a shot,
She will accept your challenge without another thought.

The Kougra Who Baked

Have you ever seen a baking Kougra;
She made desserts, sprinkled with sugar.
She would wake up early at four o’clock,
Run to the bakery, clapping her paws.

Gathering eggs, butter, sugar and flour–
She busied herself with baking every hour.
Lovingly purring, she creamed the butter,
A joyful song she would softly mutter.

All the ingredients together she’d fold;
The flavours–scrumptious, yummy, bold.
Into the oven–she turned up the heat;
How she looked forward to the sweet treat.

Nothing did she love more than to bake,
Famous was her Cloud Kougra Blueberry Cakes.
Cookies and biscuits, party on the tongue–
Pastries too were treats for old and young.

Other desserts also made her ooh and aww,
Like the delicious Chocolate Kougraclaw.
Some coffee gave it that extra pop,
With cheese, cream and cocoa on top.

Dear customers would come streaming in,
Embracing her joy bubbling from deep within.
Not only were her desserts delicious to taste–
The baker Kougra always put a smile on their face!

Tyran Far, Kougra Legend

You may have patronized a store
That sells Tyrannian arms galore
But did you heed the Kougra there
Who genially sold you his wares?
Were you starstruck, your mouth ajar
In the presence of Tyran Far? 

The Tyran Far of fiery fame,
Whose being is blessed with innate flame,
That burns the ground he walks upon;
Wherefrom this fire? What has he borne
To harness such consuming power?
Far has never divulged the answer. 

Yet loud his voice in midst of battle,
The Brute force strong within his mettle,
When he, beside Commander Flint,
Turned every well-honed instinct
To preemptively halting Wrath
Before it wrecked those in its path. 

Mayhap, in order to obtain
Far's goods, you've offered a bargain.
Did you noticed his elocution
exceeds normal Tyrannian diction?
Though Alien Aisha sleep tapes gotten.
Far taught himself standard Neopian. 

His crafted wares are fire-blessed,
The product of blazing paws deft,
and years of artisan technique,
So, should you need to journey deep
Into the wild, stop by Far's stand,
And let the legend lend you a hand.

Among the Rarest Kougra Plushies

Red, blue, yellow and green.
These were all or so it seemed.
A Kougra was looking far and wide,
To find a Plushie that she had eyed.

This Plushie was purple and rather rare.
It even had a menacing stare.
The Dusk Kougra Plushie was the goal.
This store had none or so she was told.

“I give up!” the Kougra exclaimed.
“Nowhere has it! Who is to blame?!”
Then on her shoulder there was a tap.
She turned around and saw a pink cap.

A Purple Kacheek was standing close by.
There was a glisten that was in his eye.
He reached out his paws and smiled big.
He had the plushie and he did a jig!

“I heard you were searching for this one!
I do not need it and think I am done.
I used to collect several types,
But I slowly began to lose the hype.”

The Kougra was shocked and in pure awe.
She couldn’t believe what she just saw.
“Thank you so much for such a great gift!
I was beginning to think it didn’t exist!”

The Kacheek just smiled and nodded his head.
As he left, he softly said,
“Be kind to others and always show love.
Don’t be afraid to go beyond and above.”

Kou-Jong: A Kougra's Calling

There is a young Kougra called by Linae
Who once crewed the Cyodrake's Gaze, ev'ryday day
These days, she much prefers to stay and play
A lovely game called Kou-Jong!

Truth do be told, she did love that game
Throughout all the time her ship was famed
Searching for Hoban and who was to blame
She played then... is that really wrong?!

Playing with tiles up in Faerieland
A game full of zen, no tricks and no hands
Floating through clouds and Kou-Jong -- how grand!
Sometimes she sang Kou-Jong songs!

While in the Lost Desert, Linae did reveal
It was on the night he snubbed Bonju's meals
That Hoban went missing and came that ordeal
(Better: her missing tile came along!)

Is it all that bad? Is she just too cold?
That that Kougra cared for that game, by tenfold
More than lost Hoban or Chef in the hold
Her love for the game's just so strong!

It was a relief when the ship did return
To Shenkuu, with bridges not quite fully burned
But more so, Linae was much more concerned
To match tiles outside the throng!

She said to the Cyodrake's Gaze, "Bye, so long!"
That Kougra found out where she truly belonged
Where she could express a love that's lifelong
Playing that game called Kou-Jong!

Katsuo the Top Chop Kougra

Katsuo’s whole life 
Spent dreaming of this day
Focused through the strife 
All work and no play 

The day had finally come 
The Imperial Guard exam
To nerves won’t succumb
Each test ready to slam 

The highest honour of the land
To become a Palace Guard
Ready for any command
Held in high regard 

Shenkuu’s finest not only protect,
But set an example
For the Emperor respect 
Love of Shenkuu ample 

His sensei’s words echoed 
Must relax and study a cloud
All fears mellowed 
Ready to make sensei proud 

Breathing steady
Mind still,
Hands at the ready
Full of strong will!

Swifter than a Lupe to a Chia Snack 
More graceful than Alstaf’s pen
Stronger than a Seasonal Pea attack 
More passion than Jhudora fighting again 

Chop
Chop
Chop
Chop!

Katsuo passed!
The board was done,
His mighty chop had beaten
Only stage one!

Caves and Corridors

Through Caves and Corridors.
It's no piece of cake,
Adventure awaits!

The goal of his quest:
Find Kawillawoa's lost Tiki.
There's no time to rest,
Or it'll be too late.

Keep a watchful eye
For stalagmites and boulders,
Or poison arrows darting by
Testing your fates.

Be watchful too
For gems and gold treasures.
At least collect a few,
If they're not set as bait.

Maybe in time,
And a little bit of luck,
The tiki you'll find.
The King patiently waits.

Help Jake in his quest!

Brush those canines and grab a drink,
Fluff that fur and get ready to play. 
Polish your claws and give a little wink.

It’s Kougra Day, let’s do it the Kougra way…
Give a roar or a slight meow,
Head to Mystery Island for the day.
Rummage in the sand & grab some chow.

It’s Kougra Day, let’s do it the Kougra way…
Exploring the lands in every place.
Prowl through the forest, looking for prey.
Battle those fiends, out there in space.

It’s Kougra Day, let’s do it the Kougra way…
Curling our striped tail with a tiny fluff,
Training for free, let the Academy pay.
Pump the iron and we’ll get buff.

It’s Kougra Day, let’s do it the Kougra way…
Jordie, Stanley and Rufus too,
Those famous Kougras are celebrated today.
Cheers to them and all the Kougra crew!

Quest for the King

King Kawillawoa had a quest.
For this he knew he needed the best.
He called for the Kougra everyone knows,
"Jake the explorer please fetch me my prize.
I need the Mystical Tiki Totem by my side."

Jake grabbed his hat and went on his way,
To the caves and corridors, hopefully no trouble today!
Swinging from vines, gathering loot.
He grabbed gems, treasures and native fruit.

Obstacles tried to stop him now,
Boulders, spike and even darts. But this adventurer never misses his mark.
He completed his task his moments to spare.
Went back to the king, he said "I completed your dare."

I have the totem you want by your side.
I have come for my payment. It shall be mine.
The King laughed with joy and gave the Kougra his trophy.
Jake replied "Thank you your highness.  It was a pleasure, you know me!"
