Neopets TCG Card of the Day
Every day (well, most of them) we will release a new Card of the Day. Keep checking back, as you never know what interesting strategies and combos you will find!
Hints and Tips Six-colour deck madness!!! Thanks to its unique special ability, Faerie Dust has opened up a whole new type of deck. Up until now most of the decks we have seen have been two-colour, mainly due to the fact that you can only have three different Neopets in play. The chance of being able to get your two faerie alignments between three Neopets is pretty high. Three colour decks, however, are less rare. To be able to generate three colours of faerie magic you will basically need to have each of your starting Neopets to be a different colour. This can be a disadvantage early on as you will need to keep flipping Neopets back into the stack and wasting valuable time. Also, with three different Neopet species the amount of Experienced Neopets you need in your deck increases, and chance of actually drawing one that is useful decreases. For those of you who want to create more interesting and colourful decks, fear not - help is at hand. Faerie Dust not only gives nice bonuses, it can convert any of your Neopets into any colour, and you don't need to be playing a specific colour of deck to play the card, either. A bank value of three means that it is never a wasted card, either. Bear in mind that if you are playing all four-point items you will need 6 banks to win the game. If you choose three-point items it's only one more bank (7). Forget about winning with all two-point items, however, you'll need 11 of them to win :) Anyway, the main point of Faerie Dust is to allow you to add that third (or fourth) element to your deck. Playing Dark and Light and want a bit of Fiery bank destruction in there? Faerie Dust to the rescue! Playing a Light and Fire Kacheek Thief deck and need a bit of arena movement? Why not turn one of the Kacheeks to Air and start playing Secret Passage or Brain Tree Root too! Water is an easily overlooked element. The Poogle Racer is fantastic, Healing Potion very handy, and Slorg Trails can be one of the most devastating cards you can play - however Water decks on their own tend not to stand up well to other decks. Why not add Faerie Dust and a couple of Slorg Trails to your favourite deck just to give it that little extra advantage. With your basic Neopets in play your opponent is never going to suspect you have a third colour up your sleeve! Lastly, the character in the card (the Blue Zafara) is actually going to be featured in our 2005 PlayStation II game, she is one of the heroes. Well, I bet you didn't know that :) Jump To...
