Neopets TCG Card of the Day
Every day (well, most of them) we will release a new Card of the Day. Keep checking back, as you never know what interesting strategies and combos you will find!
Hints and Tips It's the man himself... well, maybe 'man' isn't the right word to use. Dr. Sloth, evil genius, and persistent thorn in the side of Neopia has returned. It is interesting to note that Dr. Sloth has tried twice before to take over the world. The first time he arrived in his space station with hordes of mutant grundos, however he was eventually foiled by the Space Faerie who reflected his laser beam back at him. The second time he stole an ancient Lost Desert artifact from an unwitting card player, Brucey B... an artifact that would give him ultimate power. He would have probably succeeded too if it wasn't for the brave efforts of the Neopian players. Sloth, however, has put all that behind him. He's been away for two years plotting something so devious, so horrible, so ingenious, that even the Turmaculus has had trouble sleeping at night. Our sources tell us that he will be arriving in Neopia within the next week or so. We suggest you put all your items in your Safety Deposit Box, all your money in the bank, and cower underneath a table in your Neohome. In the Neopets TCG, Dr. Sloth is a holo-foil, meaning that he is shiny and hard to get hold of. Looking at his stats and ability though, this is unsuprising. Dr. Sloth has a Magic of 19 and a staggering 24 for Intelligence. He makes Eliv Thade look like a Chia Clown! There is only one card with a higher Intelligence, and that is one of Dr. Sloth's creations Neopet v2 (but that's another story!) Where Dr. Sloth dominates, however, his is special ability. You cannot start a contest against him with only one Neopet or Hero. No matter what stats you may have, unless you move an additional Neopet into his arena and challenge with both, Dr. Sloth cannot be beaten. This makes him an excellent choice to block an arena. Even though the reward for defeating him is extremely high, Dr. Sloth is an excellent choice for dark decks. The Three and Back from the Grave work well in conjunction with him, meaning he can not only be harder to defeat, he can come back into play too! An alternative strategy with Dr. Sloth is to simply play him in Agility or Strength and beat him yourself - however you will need two Neopets in order to do so! So anyway, we will be releasing more Cards of the Day over the coming weeks, this isn't the last one :) Hope you enjoyed the ones so far, and if you are free tomorrow why not head over to one of the Organised Play events to compete. There are loads of really cool prizes and it's going to be a lot of fun, so there! :)
