Card of the Day

Every day (well, most of them) we will release a new Card of the Day. Keep checking back, as you never know what interesting strategies and combos you will find!

9. FAERIELAND

Hints and Tips

Let's take a step away from our plot for a second and feature some of the other cards that you'll find in the Hannah and the Ice Caves set. We always like to complement our plot-specific cards with other, more general cards from the world of Neopia, so that the set has more to offer. Faerieland is one such example.

Faerieland is the first Location that we have shown you from the set. The others include great cards such as Happy Valley, Terror Mountain and of course the nefarious Thieves Guild. There is one of each colour, and Faerieland represents Light - so it's no wonder that it has a anti-Villain mechanic, and quite a good one at that.

Let's face it, there are many ways to get rid of a Villain in the TCG. You can beat them in a contest, send them packing to another arena, and there are a variety of Equipment, Items and Heroes that will speed up their departure. If you are playing an anti-Villain deck however, there are few cards that beat Faerieland for sheer Villain-smashing power. All Villains in the arena are discarded, and no more Villains can be played. Also, Faerieland unlike a couple of other locations can be played in any arena.

The good thing about Locations, well so far anyway, is that there are not many cards that specifically target them. The problem, however, is that a Location can be played on top of another one, causing the old one to be discarded. At least when you play Faerieland you can guarantee to discard at least one Villain, so it doesn't necessarily have to be a wasted card.

If you are still having problems with Villains, try playing Faerieland with Jerdana :)
