Neopets TCG

Card of the Day

Every day (well, most of them) we will release a new Card of the Day. Keep checking back, as you never know what interesting strategies and combos you will find!

2. FISH NEGG

Hints and Tips

The Fish Negg is the first item that we have featured on Card of the Day. It's a Neopian item alright, but one quite old. Unless you have been on the site for three years or more you may not have seen one (except in people's galleries). The Fish Negg also appears in the game Meerca Chase, where it is the highest scoring Negg you can pick up! But anyway, back to the TCG.

The Fish Negg is a Negg, obviously, which means it goes very well in Negg decks. Brown Negg, Green Negg, Silver Negg, Yellow Negg, Happy Negg and Ferocious Negg are among the other cards you could possibly put in your Negg deck. The strategy with a Negg deck is to bank as many Neggs as you can as quickly as possible, rushing towards the 21 point finish line with tremendous speed, and the Fish Negg is certainly a welcome addition!

When you bank a Fish Negg with a Water Neopet or Hero you may reveal the top card of your deck, if it's a Negg (and in a Negg deck this is more than likely to be true), you can bank it. Although the Fish Negg is only worth one point, the chance of banking a second item for free is too good to pass up. The Yellow Negg and Green Negg work especially well in combination with the Fish Negg.

So what other cards should you consider using in order to maximise the chance of flipping over a Negg and getting a free bank. Consider heroes such as Koya, Korbat Huntress - she can scout out the next few cards and allow you to place that four-point Negg at the top of your deck. Other cards that allow library manipulation include The Golden Shoyru, and Lucky Coin although you may choose not to use non-Negg items.
