Card of the Day

Every day (well, most of them) we will release a new Card of the Day. Keep checking back, as you never know what interesting strategies and combos you will find!

39. TIKI TACK MAN

Hints and Tips

Card of the Day is back! Yes, now that the Mystery Island expansion is days away from hitting the stores, we will be featuring one of the cards from the set every day on the Neopets TCG site.

Mystery Island is a 100 card set, with some really fantastic, interesting cards. Prepare to see Island Petpets, tropical monsoons, tiki parties, scary purple snakes, meerca thieves, archaelogists, safari guides, shamans, and lots lots more!

We start off with the Tiki Tack Man. Is he a man? Maybe he's a Neopet dressed up in a costume. We will probably never ever know. We do know that he is a Hero, and a pretty good one at that. Although his stats are probably not going to win you that many contests, his ability more than offsets that disadvantage.

When you play the Tiki Tack Man you look at the top card of your opponent's deck. If the card collector number ends with a 0, 2 or 5, you draw three cards - a pretty nice card advantage. The chance of this happening is roughly 3 in 10, or 30%. It really depends on how your opponent has constructed his or her deck. A 30% chance of three cards means that on average you will draw just under one card every time you use him. Mathematically he only really costs one-tenth of a card to play!

Also, the very fact that you get to look at the top card of your opponent's deck is to your advantage also. Knowing what they are going to draw next can help you with cards such as Jhudora's Evil Eye or Pant Devil Attacks. Why not even Cease Fire them and force them to discard that nice card that they just picked up.

In closing, Tiki Tack Man is cool. Picking up three cards is even cooler. Looking at the top card of your opponent's deck and making him discard it is the coolest :)
