9. ISCA

Hints and Tips

Isca is one of the heroes of our story. She is a simple Maraquan Aisha who lost her parents in that terrible whirlpool a couple of years ago. When our story starts she is travelling, with thousands of others, to the fabled city of New Maraqua...

Isca is the first hero that we have featured from the Curse of Maraqua set. She is an Aisha, and therefore part of a Light-based deck. Although weak, her stats in the other three areas are pretty good indeed, with three of them over sixteen, making her flexible enough to be played in three of the four arenas.

Where Isca really shines however, is her ability to search for any Quest in your deck. You can do this every time you play her, so if you use a lot of Quest cards you may even want to consider using three Isca's.

A Quest card is attached to a Neopet in play. You cannot start any more contests after you play a Quest, so they are usually the last thing you do in your turn. Usually, a quest will sit there and do nothing until triggered, then it is discarded and you receive some kind of reward. Take Jhudoras Quest for example, it can only be played on a Dark Neopet. Whenever you bank a potion, the Quest is "completed" and you get to look at your opponent's hand and discard two of their cards. Nasty stuff!

In a Light-based deck you would perhaps be better off using Lishas Quest however. Imagine a Book deck with three of these Quests, three Isca's and a lot of Books :) Although there were only three Quests released in Hannah and the Ice Caves, you need not worry. There are three more in Curse of Maraqua.
